The Institute wishes to recruit a highly organised and talented individual to establish this new position and to build and maintain effective organisational, information and promotional management systems to this Ireland - Wales cross border European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) project.

In partnership with Pembrokeshire County Council (lead partner), Carmarthenshire County Council, Swansea University Institute of Life Sciences, Wexford County Council and Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM - Irish Sea Fisheries Board), this project aims to create an environment to nurture and develop business idea generation, encourage the design, development and testing of products and services, and advance the commercialisation of products and services towards market readiness among innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs and SMEs. The project also aims to create, develop and enhance cross-border networks and clusters in innovation in the complementary sectors of food and drink, life sciences and renewable energy.  As Project Administrator you will be responsible for the effective coordination and administration of the Institute of Technology Carlow’s commitment to the implementation and delivery of this six-partner BUCANIER Operation.

Successful applicants must have a relevant Honours Degree (First or Second class) and at least five years experience of working in business or business development. Given the need for some travel across and between the regions a valid driving licence is also essential.
