Speaking at the conferring from Institute of Technology Carlow of more than 200 members of the Defence Forces Minister Kehoe said “Let me state that this is a priority for the Government and for me.”
Congratulating the Defence Forces and IT Carlow on their strategic collaboration he highlighted the establishment of SecurityCore, a research centre working on advanced security technologies. He emphasised that a specific advantage of the Technological University for the South East would be its ability to attract research funds with resultant additional benefits both academically and economically for the region.
